Club Fishing

SCAC holds social fishing days on waters that are open to the public for fishing. The club also has access to some private waters where we hold our regular matches, but we are an expanding club, so we are always looking for new private locations to fish socially, and to hold our matches.

We are a socially and environmentally conscious group and it is also within our club rules to maintain the waters that we fish, leave no litter, and treat the environment with respect.

We are always looking for new waters to fish, these can be any type of water including rivers, lakes and dams. Larger waters are needed for our club matches for up to 25 or more anglers along the bank with 12 to 15 meters space between each angler.

In exchange for the use of private land to fish we are happy to contribute to the maintenance of the fishing areas for example, mowing and bank management and pay a small fee for attendance.

We are a group that are happy to get our hands dirty in maintaining our fishing locations. Our members also have a diverse range of expertise and knowledge in areas such as OHS, management, engineering, and many other skills. We also have considerable experience in the design and development of fishing facilities that would be suited to community use and coarse angling.

Where possible we would also create suitable access for anglers of all abilities including but not limited to.

  • Vehicle access

  • Wheelchair access

  • Purpose built fishing platforms

  • Property maintenance

The property may also benefit from additions such as tree restoration for shade and bank integrity, assistance with the planting of trees and shrubs for environmental benefits.

If you have or know of anyone in the Sydney area who would be willing to let us use their facilities for mutual benefit, please contact us at sydneycoarseangling@outlook.com and we will contact you to discuss. Thank you. SCAC.
